The Grade 1 - 6 students are invited this year again to open the annual German Christmas Market in Osaka.
Date and Time: Friday 16th November, 2018 from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm
Venue: Umeda Sky Building in Osaka
2:40 pm Students have their afternoon snack in the classroom
3:15 pm Students and teachers depart school by charter bus
4:00 pm Students and teachers arrive in Osaka
4:15 pm The opening ceremony begins
4:40 pm (Estimated) DSKI students sing
5:00 pm The Christmas tree is lit
After singing the students will meet St. Nicholas and get a present.
The teachers will return the students to the entrance hall of the Umeda Sky Building.
Teachers will give a coupon for food/drink and the merry-go-round to each child as they are handed over to their parents.
Parents must collect their child after the performance at the entrance hall of the Umeda Sky Building, East Tower.
Parents are responsible for their children after this time (after 5:00 pm approx.).
1) Your child has an afternoon snack packed on Friday 16th November.
2) Your child has the school polo shirt. Please allow the child to wear white sweatshirts with long sleeves underneath.
He/she needs to wear dark colored trousers/skirt & tights.
We will have our first Open Day on the 22nd of November. It will be a normal school day for all our students, but we will be open for visitors who are interested in joining us to come and see the school in action.
Ascot International School are planning to open a secondary school section in which will cater to native English and also native Japanese speakers. They have very kindly offered to host an information meeting at their new site on the 14th of November at 9.00am.
You will be able to meet the principal Mr Donnellan, hear about their secondary school concept and see the new campus.
We will meet here at the school and transportation will be provided to their campus and back.
We are please to announce that registration for our Winter Camp is now open. We will have a sports and art theme with activities for all to enjoy!
Cost will be 50, 000 Yen per child for the full week or 12, 000 Yen for each day
On Wednesday and Thursday all families received log in details from our new photographer. Please check the photos, we really like them a lot!
They are great memories but on top might be a nice seasonal present for grandparents, aunts and uncles....

Frank Pitzner joins the Principal´s conference of the Association of the German Schools Abroad. The conference is hosted by the German International School Seoul. It lasts from Wednesday, Nov 14th to Sunday, Nov 18th.
