Natural Disaster Policy Review
We are currently reviewing our procedures in case of an earthquake or typhoon.

In the case of a natural disaster causing damage to the school building we will goto one of the official emergency shelters (see parent handbook, school policies section page 54) until students are collected by parents.

If you live off Rokko Island and would like another family to collect your child on your behalf, please fill in the consent form here.

 

Report Cards
29th January
Student reports will go Friday out next week. For our new families, you will receive it as a pdf from your homeroom teacher. If you need a signed hard copy for school applications, just let us know.

Three Way Conferences
1st - 5th February
You will be receiving invitations soon for the three way conferences. They will be a bit different this year. Usually it is a time for parents, teachers and students to sit down together and reflect on the year so far and work together on goal setting for the coming months.

But due to the current state of emergency, we will have the conferences online this year. To make it easier to schedule, it will be only teachers and parents together. Students are of course in class in the day and after school are travelling home.

Teachers though will meet with students before the conference to talk about progress and goals they would like to set, which can be discussed at the conference. We would like to ask you as parents to also have this conversation at home.

 

Welcome Back
We hope you have all had a good vacation and its good to see the students back. All has gone well this week, the students have been happy in class! We havent had any students upset or concrend about the state of emergency but we will make sure that we provide pastoral support as needed in these difficult times.

Just a reminder to please be aware of our health policy, in particular to mask wearing, distancing and avoiding visiting the campus if it isnt for an urgent matter, including waiting off campus to collect your children.

Early Arrival and After School Care
We just want to let parents know we have some space in our early arrival and after school care programe. Click here if you would like to register.

Early Arrivals 7.50am - 8.45am

After school supervision from 3.30pm until 4.30pm.

Please note that the numbers are very limited to avoid running a big group with a higher risk of cross infection.

Applications will be assessed on a need basis. There will also be a small charge for the service which would need to be

booked for the semester  -

Morning supervision 2,000 yen per family per session

After school supervision 2,000 yen per family per session

Both morning and afternoon supervision 3, 000 yen per family per day

Please note only full weeks can be requested, not individual days or dates. This is so we can properly secure a
supervisor.
