DSKI in the News
We were very happy to be in the newspaper this week, the Kobe Shimbun has
featured us in a story about remote working during the time of school closure, bottow right.

Translation
“Remote learning” by video call
Homework support and study care

“Deutsche Schule Kobe International (3 Koyochonaka Higashinada-ku)” where multinational children are studying, is using video calls to support children's everyday life and learning during their school closures.

The school has been using web applications to interact the teachers with the students and among the children, including homework support and consultations for several years. Since the school was closed on the 2nd of this month, they have introduced a “remote learning” to support homework and other topics through video calls using a web camera.

According to the reservations that children make, the teachers give a lesson from school or home using video and audio from cameras. Ms. Satya d’Amours, upper grade class teacher, says “It seems children are enjoying some new experiences” “We would like to support and care about their feelings, too”. The school closure will continue until March 18, before the spring holiday.

This school was established in 1909. There are currently about 120 students in their kindergarten and elementary schools.

We hope all is going okay and the transition to remote learning is going as smoothly as possible, under the circumstances. Please dont forget we are here to help you out and support you as much as possible, so please dont hesitate to call us or email our help desk
