Oktoberfest
8th October
We are looking forward to celebrating our Oktoberfest soon! Once again due to the pandemic we will be running an in school event for students to enjoy.

Fun stations are planned for the yard, small Multi Purpose Room and 1st floor hallway. They are still a secret though!
Every class will have around 30 minutes to experience them. And dont worry - no contact between classes.
Some games and activities will also be held in the classroom.

Parents, could you please
- Prepare a Bavarian themed lunch (sausages, mashed potatoes etc.)
- If you have an Oktoberfest costume by chance then sure the students may wear it

Bread Orders for Students to Bring Home
In addition the PTA is preparing a fundraising event. They will be preparing an assortment of delicious breads for everyone to purchase, made by Köln, a German bakery in Kobe.

Detailed information will be sent out next week.

There are still bags with the No Poverty logo ( 4 of red, 7 of dark blue) . If some of you are interested in donating to UNICEF by purchasing the bags, please kindly contact me via my homeroom teacher Ms dAmours!

Thank you again. Have a nice and safe weekend.

The message from the teacher:

Hi everyone!

This week we have had several online English Level Check-ups. I’m very happy and excited😀. Everyone managed to enter our meeting successfully. We got acquainted, checked our online opportunities, talked, laughed - we had fun. We talked about families, holidays, jobs, interests, the Chinese wedding traditions… It seemed we had never ending topics to discuss 🥰. And instead of 30 minutes the meeting took 1 hour. And this hour passed so quickly. Everyone started with: ‘Oh 😊, my level is so low, I can’t speak, I don't know’. But then you were speaking, listening, reading… You yourself 💪. And you can do more than you think you can. You just need somebody who can guide you and believes in you. And I’m here to support you.

Yes, an online meeting is different from a live one. But we have proved that we can exchange our energy and enjoy an online meeting. Moreover, an online meeting has the advantage of seeing each other without masks😃. I’ve realised how we all miss and need smiles from each other.

The English Level Check-up is not an exam. Please, don’t be afraid or shy. Just try it! 🥳 Join our adventure, sign up now

DSKI English Club

Hi, my name is Daria. I’m a qualified English teacher. And I would like to offer the English Club with different options. I have had a wide range of students of different professions aged from about 9 years old to 60+. I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language since 2004 for the following companies: Renault, Volvo, Caterpillar Financial, Mars Inc., PepsiCo, Strabag, etc. Corporate, group and individual teaching, to executives as well. Together we not only study but enjoy the time and have fun :)

I also speak French (Pre-Intermediate) and at the moment I’m learning Japanese. So to understand students better I experience how to be a grown-up language learner myself.

I love my profession. Even the same course goes differently with each person  - it is always a new adventure. I learn from students. My passion is to create and implement speaking/ listening courses based on movies and literature. I have already made 7 of them for you. The best appraisal is to see students’ achievements and eyes sparkling with joy when busy adults forget about their everyday matters and turn into kids :)
