110 Year School Anniversary Party
18th april
6.00pm - 9.00pm
Kobe Club
We are very happy to announce that the schools 110 year anniversary party will be on Saturday the 18th April. The school has a long and full history, first opening its doors in 1909 - 1910 with a kindergarten class in a house in Kitano. Since then we have moved 5 times and become a modern, IB World School.

So come along and celebrate with us! We will be using a room in the Kobe Club for a gala dinner and entertainment.

So please save the date!

Big thankyou to our PTA for putting it together and you will be receiving formal inviations shortly.

Lower Primary Lunches Room (Pre-School - Grade 2)
From Monday lower primary school will have a slight change, and instead of eating in the lunch room, they will eat in the classrooms with their teachers. The reason is that we have a lot of young students in the room right now, and we feel that the space is just not suitable for that number. So we have made the change to provide a more pleasant lunch experience.

Tokyo Olympics Podium Project
DSKI students and families have a chance to be directly involved in the Tokyo Olympics by donating plastic containers such as shampoo bottles, detergent and softener bottles, etc. to be recycled into the podiums for this summer's Olympic games!

Terracycle and P&G are working together with the Tokyo Olympic Committee on this project to bring awareness to world's plastic lesson. A Terracycle representative reached out to us at DSKI to be a part of this project as some of their members had visited our Grade 2 class last year.

A collection box has been placed in the school's entrance area for you to drop off used plastic containers, any used containers from any brand are acceptable. The boxes will be in the entrance area until the last week of February and then they will be collected and shipped off to literally support the winning athletes of the Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer.
