St Nicholas
6th December
2.45pm - 3.30pm St Nicholas Concert

Known for his generosity and gift-giving, Saint Nicholas was a legendary historic figure who inspired the modern-day Santa Claus. In many European countries, including Germany, the life of St. Nicholas is celebrated with gift-giving, feasts, and parades.

To honor a traditional German Feast of St. Nicholas, students will receive a couple very special gifts. In the spirit of St. Nicholas, who traditionally left treats such as fruits and snacks in children’s shoes on the morning of December 6th, students will be given mikans (tangerines) provided by the PTA.

Then to conclude the school day, students will enjoy the gift of music with a festive holiday concert featuring traditional songs performed by members of the DSKI community: Phillip Strange on piano, Ryo Hatakeyama on bass, and Von Baron on drums.

Interested parents are welcome to join the audience in the multipurpose room.
