Screens are everywhere in our daily lives, and as parents, we often wonder how they impact our children’s development. How much screen time is too much? What does the latest research say about the effects of screens on young learners? And how can we create a balanced approach that supports healthy growth?

Join us for a Parent CafĂ© on "Screens and Growing Minds – What the Latest Research Tells Us." This session will explore the newest findings on screen use in early childhood and provide practical strategies to help families navigate digital life with young children. We look forward to an open and insightful discussion!

Message from our School Board

Announcement: New Board Member Appointment
In accordance with our bylaws §16 (4), the school board has invited Jens Richter to join as a new board member. His appointment aims to support the team during this transitional phase, as current board members step down, and to help us navigate the upcoming challenges—particularly the opening of North London Collegiate School Kobe—prior to our next AGM.

Why Jens?
Jens is a seasoned entrepreneur who lived in China for over 20 years and is fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese. He has strong ties to the Chinese community at our school and will serve as an important point of contact for Chinese-speaking families. Additionally, Jens and his family are committed to staying in Japan long-term. His children are currently in Pre-K and K1 at DSKI, and the family plans to remain part of our school community for the foreseeable future.

We warmly welcome Jens to the board and look forward to his contributions.
